Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The snowstorm that swept across the nation’s midsection Friday and Saturday delivered a blast of arctic air along with the snow.

While southeastern Minnesota was spared from the heavy snow that buried areas of northern Iowa, the region experienced temperatures that were about 15 degrees below normal. The high temperature in Rochester, which occurred early Saturday, was only 25-degrees. The low reading at the Rochester Airport, which was recorded around 10:30 Saturday night, was only 9-degrees.

It was the coldest reading in Rochester since March 6th.
