A St. Paul man has pleaded guilty to federal sex trafficking charges for prostituting three teenage girls, including a 15-year-old from Rochester.

25-year-old Dontre McHenry was arrested at a motel in Roseville in March after investigators responded to an ad posted on the website Backpages.com that appeared to feature a juvenile victim of sex trafficking. The criminal complaint says the 15-year-old Rochester girl had run away from her grandmother’s home in February and was lured into prostitution by McHenry.

Investigators say she managed to flee from McHenry a little over a week before the raid on the Roseville Motel and was returned to Rochester after she was found in Illinois in April.

Federal prosecutors say a sentencing date for McHenry has not been scheduled.
