Minnesota’s tax collections continued to exceed expectations in February.

The State Department of Management and Budget says overall state revenues were 5.7-percent, or about $43 million, above the level that was predicted by the new state revenue forecast released in late February. That report predicted a surplus of nearly $1.9 billion for the state’s next two-year budget period that ends in June 2017.
