Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville woman has been sentenced to 75 days on electronic home detention and one year on probation for causing a deadly traffic crash near the Rochester Airport a year and a half ago.

34-year-old Audrey Colligan was sentenced immediately after she pleaded guilty to a careless driving charge in OImsted County Court Monday morning. The misdemeanor charge stems from a crash that occurred in September 2015 when a van driven by Colligan rear-ended a pickup that had stopped for traffic, resulting in fatal injuries to a 65-year-old South Dakota woman. Colligan and three other people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The careless driving charge was filed against Colligan after the Olmsted County Attorney’s office reviewed the case and determined more serious charges were not warranted.
