Heavy snow is being reported in parts of central Minnesota from the storm

that is expected to affect the state through tomorrow.

 The highest totals reported as of 11 a.m. were 7 - 11 inches in the St. Cloud area. The Willmar area was reporting 10 inches.  Between 2 - 4 inches has fallen in the Twin Cities area.

 The snow is expected to continuing falling in the central part of the state and storm totals could be around 18 inches in some areas by the time it ends tomorrow.  A few inches may fall in southeast Minnesota.

There have been numerous storm-related traffic mishaps around the state today, including trucks that have gone off the road.  One had a load of live turkeys when it crashed near Fergus Falls.  The State Patrol says its troopers responded to 128 crashes and 74 spinouts between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.  So far, no serious injuries have been reported.

It’s not known if the storm played a role in a motor vehicle accident in northwest Minnesota involving three horses.  A woman from Greenbush struck the animals in Roseau County around 6 a.m. and they were killed.  The woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
