This is the best study ever because apparently chocolate could reduce anxiety! And not just any chocolate, dark chocolate! The best kind of chocolate there is!

According to Toby Amidor, M.S., R.D., C.D.N.at Food Network dark chocolate, along with 4 other foods, are great foods to eat in order to reduce anxiety. He also writes that "you should always follow your doctor’s recommendations to help fight anxiety, [but] what you eat might also make a difference in managing your stress at home."

Here are the 5 foods that are recommended to reduce anxiety:

Dark Chocolate - Because of the sugar in dark chocolate it "stimulates the feel-good hormone serotonin." Studies also say that dark chocolate lowers stress-related hormones.

Avocados - Avocados provide a good source of B-vitamin folate which helps your body produce dopamine, a chemical that helps you stay calm.

Salmon - Toby Amidor writes that "research has found that the type of fat called eicosapentaenoic acid (or EPA) found in fatty fish [like salmon] can help improve the ability to handle stress."

Greek Yogurt - There's some research that links your stomach to signals being sent to the brain so if you keep your stomach happy with probiotics that you can get from greek yogurt it could help you manage your anxiety.

Blueberries - Blueberries have both the antioxidant vitamin C and the flavonoids and both of these can help reduce anxiety.
