Suspected Rochester Mugger in Custody

A Rochester man charged with an armed robbery behind the Mayo Civic Center last week is now in custody. An arrest warrant was issued last Friday for 22 year old Lual Deng after he was identified as the man who held a gun to the head of a teenager and robbed him of his cellphone and $50 in cash.  Records show Deng was booked into the Olmsted County jail yesterday.  It’s expected he will appear in court today for a bail hearing.

Police continue investigating a second mugging that occurred in the same area a night after the teenager was robbed.
