TBT Why Samm Was A Tom Boy

I had dinner with my dad the other day, and he gave me an envelope full of old pictures. His mom passed last year, and he wanted me to have all the pictures she'd saved. She literally had all the professional baby shots all the way up to my senior picture (not a single year was missing). I was going through them and hating my mother for a split second. Why? Because there were pictures of me with the ugliest short (REALLY short... thanks dad) hair (we won't share those....), pictures of me wearing a choker, and my clothes, oh my god my clothes (brutal). I was in an awkward stage for most of my life lol. Then there are pictures like this -

Cute right? Just one small problem - I'm a jock! I didn't like pink, and I was always out playing basketball NOT with barbies. My mom probably was the reason I started dressing like this -

Yeah, that's me! Bibs AND hair I always wanted in a pony tail NO MATTER HOW SHORT! UGH...

Dear future daughter,

• I promise that I will let you wear what you want (unless it's super ugly).
• I will hide the blue and white eyeliner.
• The crimper no longer exists... Really it doesn't
• That choker is for dogs only!
• PLUS, I will never let your dad take you to get your hair cut!

I'm sure you'll thank me when you turn 25!
