My name is Dave and I am a geek.

I don't know abut you, but I try not to get too excited about a movie too early. But then, there's this:

Ever since Robert Downey, Jr. suited up for the first time in 2008 as Iron Man, I get deliriously giddy when a new comic book super-hero film comes out. This year was pretty awesome with Paul Rudd's Ant-Man - especially the fight scene with Anthony Mackie's The Falcon! And, leave it to Marvel to be so generous, almost every year they release a new film around the first weekend in May, which turns out to be right around my wedding anniversary. A few years ago, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary by seeing the first Thor movie. It was Chris Hemsworth, so she didn't mind at all.

Captain America: Civil War continues part of the story from this year's The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. Captain America and Iron Man have a disagreement, or decide to play Red Rover and form sides. Unless you missed the entertainment news, Sony has agreed to let Marvel/Disney use Spider-Man in the film. Marvel sold the film rights to Sony back in the '90's when they were facing bankruptcy.

Oh, and the film also features the appearance of The Black Panther! The character is Marvel's first black super-hero, appearing in comics for the first time in 1966.

Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters May 6, 2016. You'll see me there with my wife. I'll be the one with flowers, champagne and a big dopey grin on my face.
