What happened to the good old days, when teenagers spent Memorial Day weekend trying to find some beer?  This year they spent it doing something MUCH more unsavory...

Have you ever heard of this?

The new thing on social media right now is called the "Charlie Charlie Challenge." Supposedly it's an old superstitious Mexican ritual.  You balance one pencil on top of another to form a cross, on a piece of paper with "Yes" and "No" squares.  Then you say, "Charlie, Charlie, are you here?"  And if the Mexican demon named Charlie really IS there, the pencils move into the "Yes" area.

Of course, it's hard to balance a pencil on top of another one to form a cross.  So, odds are they'll move on their own, or something YOU do is going to make them move.

In other words, odds are it's NOT Charlie moving them.  Or Beetlejuice, Bloody Mary, or the Candyman.  But whatever.

Think this is stupid?  That's OK, cuz I do too.  In any case, here's a compilation of kids who try it.

So what do YOU think?  Real or Fake?
