The Cat That Wouldn’t Die!

This story may start with death, but it ends pretty much the exact opposite of yesterday's story about the woman who drowned a puppy in a toilet...

We pick up with where a car left off, hitting and "killing" a cat named Bart in Tampa, Florida earlier this month. Bart's owner, Ellis, came home to find her cat stuck to the road and rushed him to a vet, but it was "too late." So Ellis and a friend had a short funeral for Bart and buried him.

Five days later a dirty, bloody, dead-eyed cat showed up in Ellis' neighbor's yard! It was Bart, who, by the best guess of the Humane Society of Tampa, was deep in unconsciousness when he was hit, awoke in his shallow grave and dug himself out! Bart underwent surgery to treat his severe head trauma, and he'll probably lose that freaky looking dead eye, but he's expected to recover.
