People will spend over 12.5 billion this year on dear old dad for Father's Day according to the National Retail Federation.  Their survey revealed that $1.7 billion will be spent on apparel items. 1.6 billion dollars will be spent on tech products like smart phones or tablets for Dad. Shoppers plan on shelling out over 700 million on home improvement items and over 650 million dollars on tools. 15% of people surveyed said they'd be buying sporting goods or collectibles this year for their father.
