The Saddest Dog in the World

Lana was dubbed the "saddest dog in the world" after a photo posted to Facebook went viral.  Lana was a puppy when she was taken in to the Rescue Dogs Match animal shelter. She was eventually adopted but unfortunately had to be returned after it didn't work out with the adopting family and their kids.

The viral photo was taken shortly after she was returned to the shelter.  She remained in that position and unresponsive for over a day. Dahlia Ayoub, a volunteer at Rescue Dogs Match, said,  "It's almost like her world shut down."

This story has a happy ending though. Lana has found a new home and is said to be incredibly happy.
