Much of your adult life you spend weeding out the "cancers" (that's what I like to call them), realizing that certain people are just not meant to be your friend. I have done a LOT of weeding, that's for sure, BUT I have definitely stumbled upon a great group of people in my softball world! If you recall, a few weeks ago, my car was broken into and ALL my softball AND volleyball gear was stolen. For a hardcore athlete like myself, it stung quite a bit.

Well, last night I had the most INCREDIBLE thing happen. Something that I never expected. One of my teammates came up with the idea of helping me by replacing some of my gear! She asked all my other teammates to contribute, and THEY DID! The support was so overwhelming. How I got SO lucky to be able to call these people my friends is beyond me.

Being with a photographer DEFINITELY has its perks! He's my personal paparazzi! He knew about the whole thing, so came prepared to capture some of the emotions I was feeling last night:
