Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester Community and Technical College has now seen declining enrollment for three straight years.

Preliminary enrollment figures from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System put the student headcount at RCTC this fall at just under 5600 students. That’s down about 5-percent, or 300 students from the fall of last year.

Over the past three years, enrollment has dropped over 11-percent, which equates to slightly over 700 students.

Enrollment in all of the state’s Community and Technical Colleges dropped about 2-percent this fall, while the entire MNSCU system has experienced a 1.5-percent decline since last fall. Riverland Community College saw its enrollment drop 4-percent this fall, while Winona State University’s enrollment is down about 2-percent.
