    Howard The Duck (1986)

Good actors make bad films sometimes. Can you believe that Rochester's own Lea Thompson was in one of the worst super-hero flicks - right after being in one of the best films? A year after making Back to the Future, Thompson was in the George Lucas adaptation of Marvel's Howard The Duck. Although 38% of viewers liked it, the movie only gets a 14% Rotten Tomatoes score. Howard is an obnoxious, cigar chomping, talking duck. Thompson played his girlfriend. Howard made a brief cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy. I've never read a Howard The Duck comic and I've never seen the film...yet.

    Fantastic Four (2015)

Marvel's Fantastic Four have had it rough. There was a 1994 film that was made that was never released! There's a crowd-funded documentary on why. The two films that starred Chris Evans as Johnny Storm were okay. Last year's re-booted film turned out to be one of the worst films of the year! Michael B. Jordan is much better with Sylvester Stallone in Creed! While 19% liked seeing it, Rotten Tomatoes only give it a 9% score. If I ever stop procrastinating, I'll rent it...

    Batman and Robin (1997)

He may be a lot of other things, but Batman, he is not. A lot of fingers point at George Clooney as the reason the batman franchise stalled with Batman and Robin in 1997. There are a lot of other reasons that don't include Clooney. The costumes for one. The story for another. One of the legends of the film was that Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were designed to be more "toyetic" - films to market a toy line. 16% liked watching it, Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 11% score. Scores of fans deny it's very existence.

Superman IV: The Quest For Peace (1987)

One of life's greatest mysteries is how the best Superman made a couple of the worst Superman films. 16% liked it, Rotten Tomatoes gives it 12%. One of the highlights for me a few years ago was meeting Christopher Reeve's Lois Lane. I got to meet Margot Kidder at a comic book convention in Chicago. She was travelling with Reeve's Superman costume. I was going to ask her if I could try the suit on, but she started telling me about the guy ahead of me in line who proposed to her...

Superbabies: Baby Geniuses Part 2 (2004)

Jon Voigt has made some great movies. He's also made some bad ones. It still bothers me that he was an evil Jim Phelps opposite Tom Cruise in the first Mission: Impossible movie. While a whopping 19% liked seeing it, Rotten Tomatoes gives this one a 0% score. Who knew that Jon Voigt and Scott Baio made a movie together?
