The national average for a gallon of gas is $2.132, which is the second-cheapest it’s been for Thanksgiving travel since 2008, AAA says. Whoo-hoo!!

Now, gas prices are actually about 5 cents higher than they were at this time last year... BUT: AAA estimates overall, people have saved more than $28 billion on gas this year compared to the same period in 2015.
