(Rich Peterson/KROC AM news) -- Rochester firefighters were busy Saturday afternoon with a couple of alarms.

First, a fire in northwest Rochester shortly after 2:00 pm at 3929 4th Place.  According to the report, the homeowner had previously used a plastic pale to discard cigarette butts and coals from smoking meat.  The plastic bucket had caught fire and started the house on fire.

There were no injuries and an estimated $2000 damage to the house.

Then, about an hour later, there was a report of an RV Motor home fire at 1618 Marion Road SE, Rochester.

Firefighters put the blaze out, but the home was destroyed.  There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation
