Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester Police are investigating two very serious stabbings that occurred within a few hours of each other Thursday afternoon.

The first was reported around 4:30 in the 1400 block of West Center Street near the Miracle Mile Shopping Center. Officers arrived to find a 29 year old man on the ground outside the home suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body and chest. As of late last night, he was reported in critical condition at St. Mary’s.  A 16 year old was taken into custody.  Police say this was a domestic incident involving the victim, the teenager and his 21 year old sister. She is married to the victim.

Police were informed of the other stabbing at 6:45 when a 40 year old man was dropped off at the St Mary’s ER.The Rochester man - who was unresponsive - had also been stabbed multiple times in the chest and upper body and was described in very critical condition last night. That stabbing took place in the 100 block of 12th St NW, about a block west of the North Broadway McDonald's restaurant. The person who drove the victim to St. Mary’s left after dropping him off at the entrance to the ER.  Police brought in two people for questioning and later arrested a 22 year old man.
