Moorhead, MN (Learfield News Service) -  Moorhead parents are angry because a frustrated bus driver used a racial slur Tuesday, then walked away, stranding about 20 students.

The incident happened at about 4:15 pm in the city's industrial park.

School officials say some of the kids on the bus were apparently misbehaving when the driver told them he was fed up. The middle school students were left in an area parents say isn't safe.

The district immediately sent another bus to pick up those students, but many had already arranged for another ride home.

Authorities have been notified, but no criminal charges have been filed.
