Many people outraged over proposed tax to Netlix, Hulu and other streaming sites.

This isn't happening in Minnesota (yet)...

"The Pasadena, California city council has been taking heat for weeks, after announcing a 9.4 percent tax on streaming video. They’re calling it a utility, so it can be taxed like water and electricity" according to CBS.

Apparently, they are taxing people to make up for lost tax revenue from people getting rid of cable TV and home phones.

The good news? CBS interviewed Internet Association Director Robert Callahan who says cities could be violating federal law with this tax, because the government doesn’t allow tax on the internet.
