To be honest, I could be saying to sabotage you since I'm off the market and don't have to worry about how your love life goes. That's not it, though, because even some research backs this up.

Basically, a bunch of people were paired together. Half of them had sweet drinks and food, the other did not. Everyone had brain scans after that (how romantic), which showed that those who had sweet foods to end their meals also had more "lovey" feelings towards the person they were with, and it all has to do with dopamine; that little "reward chemical" in our brains that gives us that good feeling when we eat sweet foods and spend time with those we like or love.
