Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man wanted by Minnesota Corrections authorities for a parole violation created a scene in northeast Rochester Thursday.

Olmsted County deputies had placed 40-year-old Antoine Caradine under surveillance and tried to take him into custody after spotting him driving a truck around 2:30 p.m. Caradine jumped out of the truck and fled on foot.

The deputies suspected he had gone into a house in the area of 14th Ave and 10th St NE and surrounded the residence. But when they went inside to get him, they found the house was empty.

A few hours later, Caradine called 911 to report he was “depressed and suicidal. “ Officers located him and took him into custody.

He was sentenced to 9 years in prison in 2010 for a drug-related conviction.
