Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man involved in a reported kidnapping and assault in the Rochester area earlier this week.

 

Being sought is 32-year-old Brent Espenson.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says Espenson is accused of driving an Eyota-area man to a friend’s residence in the 7400 block of North Broadway Monday afternoon. The victim says he was tied up and then assaulted by Espenson and another man with a padlock that was inside a sock.

The victim says the two men did meth 2-3 times and also threatened to stab him. He says they also punched and kicked him in the stomach. They finally drove him into Rochester around 3:30 Tuesday morning and let him out on West River Road.The man walked to the nearby Casey’s General Store and called police. He was taken to St Marys Hospital where he was treated for injuries that included two broken ribs.  

Authorities went to the residence where the victim was taken and arrested 34-year-old Jamie Buck, who has a Chatfield address. He was arraigned Thursday on two felony assault charges and his bail was set at $150,000.

The sheriff’s office says Espenson may be driving a silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Am with Minnesota license plate #175PDV.
