Sammantha (with two M's) was the 476th most popular name in 1988! Apparently when you spell your name a little different than the norm it gets dropped down on the list. Let's try this again:

Samantha with one M was the 8th most popular name the year I was born. That's more like it, and it totally explains why I had 13 friends with the same name as mine (I'm being sarcastic obviously - I didn't have that many friends)
