The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says the 48 year old man got away from officers yesterday afternoon- not once, but twice. The first chase took place in Rochester when a state trooper tried to stop the man, who was driving a motorcycle with a female passenger. The man took off at a high rate of speed and the trooper broke off the chase.

About an hour later, an Olmsted deputy was sent to the elementary school in Stewartville to check a report of a suspicious woman. The deputy arrived to find the woman sitting on the motorcycle that was pursued earlier. As the man began driving away, she jumped off. The deputy went after the motorcyclist but ended the chase a short distance away. A spokesman says the driver has been identified.

He’s the same man who fled on a motorcycle when another deputy tried stopping him in Rochester a few weeks ago.
