If you've lived here for any length of time, you know that Rochester, Minnesota isn't the only city with the name 'Rochester.' But just which 'Rochester' is the right 'Rochester' for you?

Our fair city of Rochester, Minnesota shares its name-- and is, in fact, named after-- the city with the same name in New York state. But did you know there are several other 'Rochesters' in the world as well? It turns out there are a LOT of other cities out there that share the same name.

While our Rochester here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes may be named after Rochester, New York, even THAT Rochester is named for another Rochester: the original Rochester, which is located in the United Kingdom, in Kent, about 32 miles east of London. It's been there a LONG time, too, as its roots date back to well before 1610.

So we've heard of the Rochesters here in Minnesota, New York, and in England. But there are several OTHER Rochesters out across the U.S. too. Like Rochester, Michigan. Or Rochester, Wisconsin.
