Do you remember the year that Rochester's March snowfall record was set? On March 18th and 19th, 2005, an official total of 20.1 inches of snow fell in Rochester, and set the current March snowfall record for a two-day storm. The single-day March snowfall record was also established with that storm as 19.8 inches fell on March 18th alone.

The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Storm Warning for our listening area from noon today until noon on Thursday. Heavy snow and strong winds will create dangerous travel conditions throughout the region. As of now, forecasters are saying one to three inches of snow is possible for today with another 10 to 15 inches possible tonight into tomorrow morning.

I'm not sure if we'll set a new record, but I am fairly confident that we will get a lot of snow. Samm and I will most likely have a ton of school cancellations for you tomorrow morning on 106.9 KROC.  Turn us on and check KROC.com frequently for updated information.

What do you think? Will we break the March snowfall record?
