Travel will be extremely dangerous. A Winter-Storm Warning has been issued for the KROC listening area.  It will be in effect from noon today until noon tomorrow.  Mixed precipitation is expected early today with temps holding steady in the upper 30s.  A couple of inches of snow is possible late this afternoon - 10"-14" inches is possible this evening. The heaviest snow is expected between 8pm and 4am. Winds will also be strong today and tonight, creating blowing and drifting snow and whiteout conditions.

Here's the latest statement posted to the National Weather Service in La Crosse's facebook page:

A strong winter storm will impact the area from this afternoon through Thursday morning. The heaviest snow will fall tonight. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 14" are expected along and north of Interstate 90. Travel is likely to be severely impacted, as this will be a heavy and wet snowfall.
