Winter Storm Warning Issued for Rochester

A Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected.

Rain will start tonight, a wintry mix will fall overnight and change to snow early tomorrow. Snow is expected throughout the day on Thursday. Weatherology.com says the current models indicate 4-6 inches with this winter storm.

The warning has been issued for a large portion of our listening area from 3am to 6pm Thursday. See the counties under the warning, here.

Slick conditions are expected on the roads. Blowing and drifting snow will also create travel problems with northwest winds gusting at 35mph. If you must travel tomorrow, allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination safely.
