Winter Storm Warning Issued for Rochester

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Rochester and most of the KROC listening area. 5" to 8" of heavy wet snow is possible, Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday, west of the Mississippi (Pink area), a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued farther south for 2-5" of snow, mixed with sleet and rain at times (Purple area) and a Winter Storm Watch remains in effect farther east and north due to lower confidence in snowfall totals (blue area).  Travel will be significantly impacted. Road conditions coupled with poor visibility will create dangerous travel.
