Two years ago a Wisconsin man, only identified as Jose, was homeless and living in his car. He decided to get a puppy to boost his spirits. It worked, too. Jose told the Winnebago County Animal Services, “Chaos helped me through so much in my life, I took him everywhere with me!”

Jose knew he would have to find better living accommodations for himself and Chaos, so he began the process of getting his life back together. He asked a friend to watch the dog while he searched for a job and a new place to live. After a couple months, Jose had both and asked for his dog back; however, the person refused.

Two years went by and Jose thought he'd never see Chaos again, until one morning in late April when he got a call from a Winnebago County Services employee. The person notified Jose that a stray dog was found, and after locating the microchip, the shelter confirmed that it was Jose’s.

Jose broke down in tears instantly. He said he was nervous that Chaos wouldn't remember him when he showed up at the shelter on April 29th.
