TOMAH, WI ( Wheeler News ) - A mother from Tomah, Wisconsin is urging families with young kids to install door alarms.

Two-year-old Raelyn Mazur died last week, after she and her five-year-old sister got up during the night and went outside to play in the freezing cold. Their mother Courtney said Raelyn could not open a locked screen door to get back inside, and the girl was found facedown on a patio. She was first taken to a Tomah hospital before being transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester where she died.

Courtney Mazur tells KMSP TV  that Raelyn's organs were donated.

She said the incident motivated her to install door alarms and she encourages others to do the same.
