Rochester police took a 26-year-old Rochester woman in the custody early Thursday after she allegedly attacked a bouncer at a downtown bar with her shoe while celebrating the arrival of the New Year.

A spokesman says Tvisa Wells is accused of striking the bar employee on the face with the stiletto heel of the shoe after she was asked to leave the Top Shots bar. The responding officers found the bouncer holding a towel to his bloodied face when they arrived at the scene around 1:30 AM. He ended up going to the Emergency Room for stitches.

Wells is expected to face a third-degree assault charge.
