Albert Lea. MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin woman has been sentenced to 10 days in jail and 20 years on probation for her conviction on two counts of theft by swindle.

37-year-old Ryan Mae McFarland earlier admitted to the felony charges through a plea agreement that led to the dismissal of seven other counts. She was accused of misappropriating nearly $200,000 from Saint Theodore Catholic Church and School in Albert Lea while working as a bookkeeper. The theft was discovered last year during an audit.

The judge in the case has yet to decide the amount of restitution.
