The Minnesota Department of Transportation says work is getting underway on a project that will expand a 3-mile section of Highway 14 to four-lanes just east of Owatonna. The $12-million dollar project is being funded by the state’s Corridors of Commerce Program, which has also awarded $1.5-million dollars to acquire right-of-way for the eventual expansion of the highway to four-lanes between Dodge Center and Owatonna.

The work on the short stretch of the highway near Owatonna is scheduled for completion next fall.
