If your boss has ever used the phrase, "at the end of the day we need to think outside the box so we can leverage our value-added synergy to create a win/win scenario," pat him on the back then slap him in the face because he successfully used six workplace buzz words that need to go away.

Managers might be guilty of a lot of the worn out words in this survey, but they're also tired of hearing phrases like:

  • "Forward-thinking"
  • "Let me get back to you."
  • "Pick your brain"

Oh yeah, and if you want your boss to look at you like you're lazy AND unwilling to, ya know, do your job, try worn our phrases:

  • "It's not my job."
  • "It's above my pay grade."
  • "When am I going to get a raise?"
