You Can Thank Scotty’s Parents For All The Winning in Twins Territory Lately!

Wait, the Twins are WINNING?  How did that happen?  Well, if you're a superstitious fan, then you'll understand what you're about to read...

I should start out this blog by saying that I was born and raised a MN sports fan.  Win or lose (and there's been a LOT of losing lately) I'll bleed my teams colors no matter what.

Well, last night I called my parents to catch up and b.s. about what's new when my old man jumped on and said "How 'bout those ******* Twins?!"  After I stopped laughing, I said that it's been a lot of fun watching and listening to them this season... But it's what my Mom said next that was interesting...

"Ya know what's cool though?  After that first horrible week of the season, I noticed your Dad hadn't put up his Twins flag yet so I told him to throw it on our flag pole.  Ever since, they've been pretty darn good!"

Our families pretty superstitious, so hearing that made perfect sense to me.  I mean, we're the kind of family that will wear the same outfit on Saturdays for Gopher games, or on Sundays for Vikings games until they lose, then we'll start over with something new to start a new winning streak.

In any case, you can go ahead and thank them for all the winning the Twins have been experiencing lately.  As you can see, my Dad lives in Twins Territory ~ GO TWINS!
