Some old editions of the books are worth serious money, like in the thousands of dollars.

If you think you may own one of these specific editions, you might want to raid your cupboards and start making an account on eBay, where other die-hard Harry Potter fans are paying top dollar for these books.

For instance: A “First UK Deluxe Edition” of “Harry Potter and The Prisoner Of Azkaban” recently sold on eBay for a whopping $7,500, and the book was even signed by J.K Rowling herself.

Even if you don’t own this rare edition, there are a number of other Harry Potter books being sold from $1,000 to over $5,000.

The most valuable is the first edition hardcover of the original book, “Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone,” but only if it has an image of a train on the cover next to Harry.

Another way to make some easy money is to check your Harry Potter books for certain errors.  In fact, Harry Potter books with errors could also fetch thousands on online auctions.

Happy hunting, and good luck!
