Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in Southeast Minnesota [2026 GUIDE]

The city of Albert Lea is hosting its 2026 Fourth of July Jamboree from July 2nd to July 5th. This multi-day event promises a variety of activities, food, music, and family-friendly entertainment.

Austin Freedom Fest 2026 activities and entertainment are July 3-4. On July 4th, the Parade starts at 10:00 am, with opening ceremonies and the National Anthem at 1:00 pm. Music/entertainment, food trucks, petting zoo, car show, beanbag tourney, beer garden, and fireworks.​

Deer Creek Speedways' huge fireworks show will be on June 27th this year, 2026,  following the USRA Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Mods & Hobby Stocks races.

Dover will host an Independence Day fireworks show on Thursday, July 3, 2026 at dusk following their Park-A-Palooza with a fire truck water cool down, inflatables, foam fun, food trucks, and more. The celebration continues on July 4th with a chicken feed and mini parade, and July 5th with the annual Car and bike show. See the full schedule here.

The Elysian Area Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Celebration is back in 2026 with a weekend filled with bands, fireworks, kids' activities, and food trucks. The City of Elysian fireworks show will be shot from Tustin Park on Friday, July 3rd, starting at 10 pm. The Faribault 2026 4th of July Fireworks have not yet been confirmed, but they typically launch from North Alexander Park, making it one of the best spots to experience the show up close. For optimal views, head to the north side of Faribault.

Recommended viewing locations include North and South Alexander Park, the Lincoln Elementary School parking lot, Two Rivers Park, and Central Park.

New Prague's 2026 Independence Day celebration is on Friday, July 3. This event is organized by the American Legion Post 45.

Stewartville’s Fireworks Show will be on the evening of July 4^th, as part of their Summerfest activities. The festivities include a Grand Parade at 6:30 pm, followed by fireworks in Bear Cave Park at dusk. July 3rd is the Summerfest Street Dance at 5:30 pm.

Treasure Island Casino in Welch, MN is throwing an epic star-spangled bash complete with food trucks, spectacular fireworks, family-friendly activities, and the largest fireworks display in Southern Minnesota. Live music from Yächtley Crëw. Open to all ages and free to attend.

The Lagoon Terrace Fireworks Experience ($45) will give you the best view of the fireworks show at Treasure Island. All-day access to The Lagoon and after-hours access to the Lagoon terrace on July 3rd.
