Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christenson says troopers conducted a HEAT patrol in southeast Minnesota on Tuesday. 59 of 63 motorists troopers interacted with were stopped for speeding. There was also a warrant arrest.

The HEAT Patrol came a day after a traffic stop involved a 20-year-old Rochester motorcyclist clocked going over 100 mph. The speeding citation indicates a trooper spotted George Conway traveling south at a high rate of speed on Hwy. 52 near Mayowood Rd.

Radar indicated Conway was going 113 mph in the 60 mph. The trooper stopped Conway on Broadway Ave. exit ramp, where Conway admitted to driving around 110 mph and told the trooper he was “just being stupid,” the citation says.
