Amazing School Spirit Displayed at Homecoming Parade in Rochester, MN
A bunch of memories happened today for students in Rochester, Minnesota. It was homecoming week for Century High School and today was a full day of fun, including a parade!
Homecoming Parade at a Rochester Public High School Showed Amazing School Spirit
I've been to quite a few homecoming parades throughout my years of having kids in the Rochester Public Schools system and I have to say, this year was probably my favorite. Not only did the band show up and sound amazing but the floats were full of students participating. FULL!
I saw a lot of pink, a lot of hockey players in their jerseys, basketball players shooting hoops and encouraging kids on the sidelines to join in, and I am pretty sure I saw Chewbacca as well.
And the candy...I heard one person say that they got more candy at this parade than on Halloween night. Now, I was near the front of the parade. I'm not sure if there was enough for handfuls to be thrown to everyone throughout the parade route but I know the kids in the front will be on a sugar high tonight.
Thanks for bringing your school spirit to the parade route between Kellogg Middle School and Jefferson Elementary today! It was amazing to see so many students participating this year and getting the crowd ready for a fun game against John Marshall High School.
