Ariana Grande’s ‘Sweetener’ Tour Just Broke a Major Record
Ariana Grande's Sweetener Tour has broken HeadCount’s record for the most voter registrations and actions.
On Thursday (December 19), HeadCount, a the voter registration organization which has registered more than 600,000 voters at concerts and other music-related events since 2004, announced the Thank U, Next hitmaker set an "all-time record," making her tour the most successful one ever. As of yesterday, 33,381 people had registered to vote at her concerts, which was dubbed the initiative #ThankUNextGen.
"We are excited to announce that @ArianaGrande’s Sweetener World Tour has broken HeadCount's all-time record. With 33,381 voter registrations and actions, it is now the most successful tour in our history," HeadCount tweeted.
After the news was announced, Grande quickly took to her own Twitter account to celebrate the record-breaking moment. "i’m so incredibly proud of my fans for engaging in this. thank u so much for investing in our future and for committing to making a change together," she wrote.
The pop star also commented three white hearts alongside HeadCount's message, which thanked her "using your platform for good," as well as celebrated "all of Ariana's fans for showing up and using your voice!"
Grande will wrap up her highly-successful nine-month Sweetener World Tour on December 22 at Los Angeles' The Forum after performing a total of 102 shows. You can buy tickets and get more information here.
