St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The man accused of the murder of a former Rochester man and three others last fall finally made his first court appearance in Ramsey County on Tuesday.

38-year-old Antoine Suggs surrendered to authorities in Arizona shortly after the victims were found in an abandoned vehicle in western Wisconsin on September 12th but he was only recently extradited to Minnesota for prosecution. He is facing four counts of second-degree murder for allegedly killing 26-year-old Matthew Pettus, along with 30-year old Nitosha Flug-Pressley, 35-year-old Loyace Foreman, And 30-year-old Jasmine Sturm. Pettus lived in Rochester for several years before moving to St. Paul in 2020.

The bodies of the four victims were discovered in an SUV that had been left parked in a cornfield near Menomonie, Wisconsin. According to the criminal complaint, 6 spent shell casings were found in the vehicle along with Sugg’s Arizona driver's license. Investigators found other evidence that suggested the victims had been shot to death at another location and then transported to the farm field in Dunn County. The court documents also indicated cell phone records and videos from surveillance cameras linked Suggs to the murders, which allegedly occurred in St. Paul.

Suggs was named in a nationwide arrest warrant issued by authorities in Dunn County Wisconsin soon after the victims were found and he surrendered to police in Gilbert, Arizona on September 17th. Suggs is now being held in the Ramsey County Jail on $10-million bail and is due back in court next week.
