Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - At least 5 people were killed in traffic wrecks in Minnesota during the Memorial Day weekend. 

The drivers of two vehicles that crashed in rural Olmsted County near Byron over the weekend died at the scene. The deadly wreck happened around 11:00 AM Saturday in the 7900 block of Valleyhigh Road Northwest.

The victims were identified as 73-year-old Gary Eisentrager of Byron and 29-year-old Kyle Love of Keller, Texas. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says Love was passing other vehicles when he collided nearly head-on with Eisentrager’s car.

A Pipestone woman was killed Sunday after crashing her car near Ft Snelling.

There was another deadly wreck in east-central Minnesota Monday. A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old St Paul girl left the road and crashed into a tree in Isanti County. There were four passengers in the vehicle, two adults and two juveniles. A preliminary report indicates two of the occupants were killed.
