A Summer Favorite in SE Minnesota is Hosting Their First-Ever Saturday Event

When we think about summertime staples, you know, events that make summer 'summer' in Southeast Minnesota, there are a few things that come to mind.

Thursdays Downtown is a big one for me, but there's another event that's a summer favorite, and that's Berne Wood Fired Pizza in West Concord.

Berne Wood Fired Pizza

Berne Wood Fired Pizza is done by the Zwingli United Church of Christ. They get bands to come and perform on an outdoor stage every Wednesday in the summertime for our enjoyment!

Yes, it's free to attend, but you can't resist the wood-fired pizza they sell; it's part of the fun!

Sometimes a Wednesday is so popular that they sell out of pizza, so if you plan to go, you can reserve a pizza for yourself on their website.

Like I said, it's always hosted on Wednesdays, but this year they're doing something different for the very first time. They're going to have a Saturday concert and pizza night!

Saturday Night Event at Berne Wood Fired Pizza

This will be Berne's first Saturday event. It's coming up this Saturday, June 28th, and I bet it's going to be incredibly popular.

The two bands playing are both going to be tribute bands (the theme of the night is Battle of the Tribute Bands).

Up first, at 5 PM, will be a Rolling Stones tribute band called Tumblin Dice: The Rolling Stones Experience. The second band will be a Guns N Roses tribute band called Dust N Bones, and they'll start at 7 PM.

SXSE Brewing will also be there selling beer. It's going to be a great night! You definitely will want to make sure you order pizza in advance for this, before they run out.
