A nationwide ranking of the best waterparks in the country for 2024 was released recently, just in time for Memorial Day weekend and the official kickoff to summer! Shockingly, no Minnesota waterparks made the list. However, a few in neighboring states DID.

As for the best waterparks in the US, one waterpark in Iowa made the cut and so did three waterparks in Wisconsin!

Best Waterparks in the Country

If you've got a free weekend, you may want to plan a day trip or a short weekend away to one of these waterparks this summer.

This ranking comes from US News and World Report where they name the 28 best waterparks in the country for 2024.

The Wisconsin waterparks that made the list are...

Noah's Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, who was named the best outdoor waterpark in the entire country for 2024!

Timber Ridge Lodge and Waterpark in Lake Geneva, who not only has a waterpark but a sweet arcade area, too.

and Kalahari Resorts Wisconsin Dells in Baraboo, who also has a wildlife park where you can see animals like baby kangaroos.

So two of those are in the Wisconsin Dells area, so you could easily hit up both in one trip. The other, Timber Ridge, is just under an hour from Milwaukee or about one hour and 40 minutes from Chicago.

As for the Iowa waterpark that made the list, that honor goes to Lost Island Waterpark in Waterloo. It's not only a waterpark, but there's also the Lost Island Amusement Park, so you could easily spend a couple of days checking this place out.

Take your pick! Even though no Minnesota waterparks were named some of the best in the country, we've got some great ones nearby to choose from to go visit with the family this summer. Who knows, I might be there too because these all look so fun!

And if you want to plan even more family fun, the world's largest bounce house is coming to Minnesota! Keep scrolling for more details about that, plus pictures.
