Byron Middle School Gets Grant to Help “Re-imagine” the School
Byron Middle School was recently awarded the second phase of grant support from the Bush Foundation Grant. ABC 6 News writes that the school was awarded $100,000 to help re-imagine the purpose and focus of the school.
According to a Facebook post from the Byron Superintendent, Principal Richard Swanson said:
We are excited to continue our partnership with the Bush Foundation through the second phase of grant support. The Bush Foundation values the design principles of building student agency, providing authentic experiences and assessments, leveraging effective technology use, providing deep and individualized learning, and serving all students.
ABC 6 News says that this grant "will be used to meet the needs of all students in today's classrooms." I'm sure Byron Middle School students and families can expect some great changes!
