Last weekend, I took my family to a waterpark, and we had an absolute blast! My daughter and I couldn’t get enough of splashing around in the wave pool, and my son and I had nonstop fun racing down the slides.

July 28th is National Waterpark Day, a fun holiday started by Kalahari Resorts, which has locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, and the Wisconsin Dells. Don’t worry, you don't have to go that far to find an incredible waterpark.

The Best Waterparks in Minnesota

Minnesota has some fantastic waterparks, including Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington. This is an awesome indoor option located right next to the Mall of America. Great Wolf has big slides, a lazy river, and even a surfing simulator.

Soak City in Shakopee, located at Valleyfair, is another good spot for families looking to combine water slides with thrill rides like roller coasters.

But the highest-rated waterpark in the entire state? That title goes to Cascade Bay in Eagan.
