Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Public Transit is making changes to several routes this week. A news release indicates the modifications to routes 2, 6, 9, and 12 will take effect Monday to increase efficiency in the operations and lay the foundation for future service expansion.

All of the affected routes make a loop for all or a portion of the three and the changes will make the loop portions of the four routes run in the same direction in both the morning and afternoon.

  • Route 2 morning trips will change to match the direction of the afternoon trips
  • Route 6B afternoon trips will change to match the direction of the morning trips
  • Route 9 afternoon trips will change to match the direction of the morning trips
  • Route 12 afternoon trips will change to match the direction of the morning trips

RPT says the route modifications may change some arrival or departure times by as much as 20-minutes. Detailed timetables are available on board the affected routes, in newly printed schedules, and on the RPT website www.rptride.com.
